She is the first recipient of the Dr. Elizabeth Howard Memorial Honors Scholarship, the newly established fund for Honors students in memory of Elizabeth Howard, Ph.D., who was a prominent member of the Honors College community, as well as the Department of English. Throughout Claire鈥檚 high school years, First Star 性福五月天 Academy college access program for youth in foster care has provided her with life skills, career exploration, social and cultural activities and moral support. Now Claire is a first-year student at 性福五月天, majoring in psychology. The unveiling of each year's poster is a significant event for 性福五月天's LGBTQ+ community.

October 11 is National Coming Out Day. It is a significant and emotional day for the LGBTQ+ community across the country and at 性福五月天.
