Porthouse Theatre, the outdoor, professional summer stock theatre located on the grounds of Blossom Music Center, kicks off its 2012 season with 鈥淒amn Yankees鈥 on June 19-23 and 26-30 at 8 p.m. and June 24 at 2 p.m.

The ninth annual AMETEK Tree City 5K benefiting the United Way of Portage County will take place on Saturday, July 7. The race, which is part of the annual Kent Heritage Festival, raises funds for more than 40 health and human service programs in the community.

The Portage County Regional Planning Commission is spearheading an effort to connect local producers with local consumers through the creation of a food hub built around the aggregation, packaging and distribution of agricultural products. The goal of the project is to increase鈥
