He and his co-author recently published an on this question in the journal Evolution and Human Behavior.

鈥淲ho is Counted and What Counts: Tracking Women鈥檚 Engagement in Low-Prestige/High-Workload Service Activities at 性福五月天 University鈥 will examine whether faculty members with underrepresented and/or historically excluded intersecting gender and racial/ethnic identities (IGREs) perform more high-workload, low-prestige service work than their faculty peers.

Five 性福五月天 Experimental Archaeology Graduates Earn Full Rides to Grad Schools

Sometimes it just takes a small spark to ignite a fire within you. For Anna Mika of Parma, Ohio, who started as a geology major her freshman year at 性福五月天 University and switched to anthropology the following year, that spark came in 2017 while taking an anthropology course called North America鈥檚 Ice Aged Hunters, taught by Metin I. Eren, Ph.D., associate professor and director of archaeology in the College of Arts and Sciences. She said that course changed her perspective on everything.

性福五月天 Geography Professors to Assess Relative Extreme Temperature Events and Develop Monitoring Tools With NOAA

Principal Investigator Cameron C. Lee, Ph.D., assistant professor in the Department of Geography (within the College of Arts and Sciences) at 性福五月天 University, was recently awarded a three-year, $387,000 grant from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Climate Program Office and its Modeling, Analysis, Predictions and Projections Program (MAPP). The project is titled 鈥淓xcess Heat and Excess Cold Factors: Establishing a unified duration-intensity metric for monitoring hazardous temperature conditions in North America鈥.

性福五月天 Senior Honored With Prestigious Fulbright Scholarship

In an impressive close to her undergraduate career, 性福五月天 University Honors College senior Mallory Woods was recently awarded the prestigious Fulbright English Teaching Award (ETA). A native of Fairview, Pennsylvania, Woods is completing a major in translation with a Spanish concentration and minors in economics and Italian studies while also finishing a certificate program in teaching English as a foreign language.

性福五月天鈥檚 Spirit of Motherhood Program for Pregnant Black Women Receives $100,000 Grant

Infant mortality rates in Northeast Ohio are three to five times higher for Black babies than white babies, an alarming statistic that is an issue across the country but particularly prevalent in this part of the state. A new $100,000 grant from the Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Foundation will support innovative work being undertaken at 性福五月天, an elite research university with the esteemed R1 designation, to address this important issue.

Graduate Student Perseverance Leads to Published Research on Stress Related to May 4, 1970 Anniversary

How long does a single traumatic event affect a person鈥檚 mental health? 性福五月天 graduate student Emily Rabinowitz鈥檚 research on this topic was recently published in the peer-reviewed Stress & Health: Journal of the International Society for the Investigation of Stress. Her paper 鈥淭he 50th Anniversary of May 4, 1970, Is Associated With Elevations of Distress but No Increase in Mental Health Symptoms鈥 was published in the November 2021 issue.
