ÐÔ¸£ÎåÔÂÌì to Honor Veterans on Nov. 9

ÐÔ¸£ÎåÔÂÌì University will hold its annual Veterans Day observance on Wednesday, Nov. 9, at 11 a.m. on the Student Green at Risman Plaza.

The outdoor program, Honoring All Who Serve, will include a flag-raising ceremony conducted by a joint color guard from the university’s Army and Air Force ROTC programs, remarks from ÐÔ¸£ÎåÔÂÌì President Beverly Warren and guest speakers. Retired Petty Officer 1st Class Mark Gainer, who currently serves as president of the ÐÔ¸£ÎåÔÂÌì Veterans Club, will be the guest speaker.

All are invited to come and pay tribute to America’s veterans. A special invitation is extended to ÐÔ¸£ÎåÔÂÌì faculty, staff, students and community members who are veterans, active service members or who have family members in the military.

A reception in the Kent Student Center Kiva lobby will follow the brief program. In the event of inclement weather, the rain location will be the Kent Student Center Kiva.

ÐÔ¸£ÎåÔÂÌì has made a minor revision to its winter closure schedule for the current year. The university will close as previously scheduled on Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2025, at 10:30 p.m., with offices now set to re-open on Monday, Jan. 5, 2026.

You asked, we delivered! We are pleased to announce some big changes coming to the Wellness Rewards program:

Open Enrollment Ended Friday Oct. 31

Important Information and Next Steps

Thank you for being engaged this Open Enrollment season. Maybe you took a few minutes to just review your benefit plans or maybe there were important changes to make and you took the time and opportunity to do so. With that being said, we had over a 77% participation rate in Open Enrollment.

Over the next few weeks, the Benefits team will be finalizing the Open Enrollment process and completing tasks to ensure all updates are in place for a Jan. 1, 2026 effective date.
