Black United Student Leader Thrives

Julian Grimes, a �Ը������� junior, is president of Black United Students (BUS) and is working to keep the organization thriving. BUS is one of �Ը�������’s oldest student organizations and is credited with starting the formal observance of Black History Month in 1970.

Community of Caring Supports Student

Shane Reese found a network of support and a community of caring at �Ը������� that surrounded him after his mother passed away during his freshman year. As a result, Reese became a resilient leader who is committed to giving back.

New Hike and Bike Trail Coming to Kent

The proposed Lake Rockwell Trail is intended to serve as a “nonmotorized connection” offering access between parks, residential neighborhoods, schools and commercial areas, as well connecting to the Portage and Summit County Freedom hike and bike trails.

Morgan Appointed To Officer Of The Order Of The British Empire

This Women's History Month, �Ը������� Today is exploring different women who have made their mark on campus. Sandra Morgan, director of strategic partnerships and outreach for the College of Arts & Sciences at �Ը������� University, was appointed the honor of Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (OBE) at an investiture ceremony at the British Embassy Ambassador’s Residence in Washington, D.C.

Celebrating International Women’s Day

�Ը������� University celebrated International Women’s Day on March 8 with a poster presentation to allow international students the chance to highlight women in their home countries and a service project to aid Days for Girls.

The poster presentation was followed by a panel discussion of students, faculty and staff talking about women’s issues and successes across their globe.

�Ը������� has pledged to offer a host of benefits to Notre Dame College students who have accrued 60 or more credit hours. For those with fewer than 60 credits, the invitation is extended to apply to �Ը������� as transfer students, with a commitment to facilitating a smooth transition.
