Stockroom employees perform the methane bubbles demonstration.

On January 8, the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry welcomed 80 chemistry students from Kent Roosevelt High School for a morning of hands-on science and exploration. During the visit, students were introduced to the department and learned about career pathways in chemistry, as well as opportunities for undergraduate research at ÐÔ¸£ÎåÔÂÌì.The program included live chemistry demonstrations led by the chemistry stockroom, featuring crowd-pleasing reactions such as lighting methane bubbles and freezing fruit with liquid nitrogen.
