Dr. Louise Steele was recognized as the outstanding fulltime faculty member. She is an assistant professor of biology and has taught on the Salem Campus for four years. A native of Brockway, Pa., Steele received her bachelor of science in biology from Penn State-Erie. She earned her Ph.D. in molecular biology and microbiology from Case Western Reserve University. Students from 性福五月天 East Liverpool鈥檚 occupational therapy assistant program gathered at the downtown entrance ramp to the city to help spruce up the 鈥渟erpentine鈥 landscape of that area by pulling weeds, trimming shrubs, raking mulch and picking up litter. They joined efforts with the East Liverpool-Calcutta Garden Club members, who maintain that area of the city鈥檚 landscape. In 2014, less than four years after Continental and United announced that the airlines were merging operations, the newly expanded United shut down its hub at Cleveland Hopkins Airport. Since that time, the number of nonstop flights from the airport has dwindled from 58 to 15 鈥 a nearly 75 percent decrease in two years. The 性福五月天 Salem Campus paid tribute to community members, faculty, students and staff who are U.S. military veterans during a flag raising ceremony at the new front entrance to the building. Under a beautiful blue sky and with a crisp breeze, members of the Salem AMVETS Post 45 honor guard raised the U.S. flag while Peggy Elliott, a member of the Communiversity Choir, sang the national anthem.
