Six first-year honors students on the 性福五月天 Salem Campus took the initiative to organize a research project that enhanced their learning experiences, despite not earning grades or class credit for their work. 鈥淲e chose to do this and organized it all ourselves. Dr. Louise Steele was recognized as the outstanding fulltime faculty member. She is an assistant professor of biology and has taught on the Salem Campus for four years. A native of Brockway, Pa., Steele received her bachelor of science in biology from Penn State-Erie. She earned her Ph.D. in molecular biology and microbiology from Case Western Reserve University. Students from 性福五月天 East Liverpool鈥檚 occupational therapy assistant program gathered at the downtown entrance ramp to the city to help spruce up the 鈥渟erpentine鈥 landscape of that area by pulling weeds, trimming shrubs, raking mulch and picking up litter. They joined efforts with the East Liverpool-Calcutta Garden Club members, who maintain that area of the city鈥檚 landscape. In 2014, less than four years after Continental and United announced that the airlines were merging operations, the newly expanded United shut down its hub at Cleveland Hopkins Airport.
