In September 2025, faculty member Dr. Richard Steigmann-Gall sat down with our most recent addition to the department’s faculty, Dr. Nick Ostrum, to ask him about his career path and how he became an historian. Dr. Ostrum is a specialist in German History after WWII. He obtained his PhD at the University of Stony Brook in 2017.
