The energy inside White Hall鈥檚 Read Room was electric, a palpable hum of intellectual curiosity that signaled something above and beyond a typical academic gathering.
At the annual EHHS Research Gallery, the air was thick with the spirit of discovery as 性福五月天 University faculty and students took their place as definitive leaders in their fields. With 14 posters and 15 talks spanning in-person and virtual platforms, the event wasn't just a showcase鈥攊t was a testament to the rigorous research culture that defines the College of Education, Health and Human Services.
Students stood confidently beside their data, engaging in sophisticated dialogue with seasoned mentors. This collaborative spirit is the heartbeat of 性福五月天, where research isn't a solitary pursuit but a shared journey toward solving complex societal challenges. Whether exploring the nuances of human behavior or the intricacies of educational equity, the presenters demonstrated a level of expertise that commanded a near standing-room-only crowd.
Associate Professor and Cognitive Psychologist Jenny Roche, who serves as a co-chair for the Research Advisory Council and works within the Speech Pathology and Audiology program, noted that the event鈥檚 value extends beyond the data points. "The Research Gallery is an amazing opportunity for students to share their work and connect with others across the college,鈥 said Roche. "It provides a meaningful space for them to see how their research fits into a larger community of scholars."
Strategic pathways for this high-level engagement were prominently featured throughout the gallery, highlighting the infrastructure that supports 性福五月天鈥檚 leadership:
- Brain Health Research Institute (BHRI): A multidisciplinary hub dedicated to understanding the brain and behavior through collaborative research and innovative technology.
- Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE): A program that pairs undergraduate students with faculty mentors for intensive, hands-on research projects, fostering the next generation of investigators.
- Interprofessional Ed.D. Program: An advanced degree path designed for leaders to solve complex problems of practice through interdisciplinary collaboration and research.
As the sessions ended, the "packed" nature of the room served as a visual reminder of the college鈥檚 momentum. By prioritizing research that is innovative and interprofessional, 性福五月天 faculty and students continue to push boundaries, ensuring their work resonates far beyond the campus walls.
The success of this event was made possible by the dedicated efforts of the EHHS Research Advisory Council (RAC). A special thank you to co-chair Bridget Mulvey, and committee members Astrid Sambolin Morales, Lena Salpietro, Giulia Borriello, and Todd Hawley for their vital role in organizing and supporting this year's gallery.
