Career Advising with Mac Smith from Career Exploration and Development

Career Advising with Mac Smith from Career Exploration and Development is available every Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. throughout the Fall semester in Room 217. Students can stop by for walk-in sessions or schedule an appointment through Navigate. Mac offers support with resumes, cover letters, and general career guidance to help students prepare for their professional journey.

Cultural Café

During each Cultural Café, speakers from different cultures give a short presentation. Topics often include traditions and culture, history, geography, government, art, music, theatre, food and more. In addition, the presenting students often include demonstrations of traditional songs or dances, while actively encouraging audience participation.

Dr. Theo Hughes-Riley

Dr. Hughes-Riley is an Associate Professor in Electronic Textiles at Nottingham Trent University (United Kingdom) where their research focuses on the design and development of novel electronic textile (E-textile) devices. Their research has a particular emphasis on sensor technologies and the creation of E-textiles for wellbeing, healthcare, and workwear applications. Dr. Hughes-Riley has published over 40 publications in top peer-reviewed journals including Chemical Society Reviews, Science Bulletin, Progress in Photovoltaics, and Scientific Reports.
