LaunchNET Supports: WagVitals

WagVitals helps dogs live longer, healthier lives through data and AI.

鈥淟aunchNET has been instrumental in shaping my journey as a founder. The mentorship and guidance I received helped me refine WagVitals and build confidence to pursue ambitious goals.鈥 -

With a nickname like Bunny, it鈥檚 only natural that your startup would be focused on animals. Bhuvaneshwar Reddy Kosna began working with LaunchNET on an idea to give animals a voice and give their owners peace of mind when it comes to their pet's health and well-being. This aspiration began with cows on dairy farms but after seeing the need hit much closer to home, Bunny pivoted to target a new furry friend: dogs.

We recently had the opportunity to sit down with Bunny and learn more about why he chose to pivot the business, the importance of documenting your journey, and what鈥檚 on the horizon for WagVitals.

Can you tell us about WagVitals and how you came up with the idea?

is like a fitness tracker, but for dogs. The idea came from my work in animal health 鈥 I realized pet parents face the same challenge as farmers: animals can鈥檛 tell us how they feel. I wanted to give dogs a voice through data.

What does the product look like and how does it work?

It鈥檚 a small wearable that clips onto a dog鈥檚 collar. It tracks vitals like heart rate, temperature, and activity, then sends that data to our app. Pet parents get alerts if something looks off.

You previously had a different business idea. Can you tell us about that and the pivot to WagVitals?

I started with My Dairy Analytics, which focused on cow health and was targeted towards farmers. The pivot to WagVitals happened when I saw the same problem existed for pets, but on a much bigger scale.

How did you know it was time to switch to a new venture?

After throwing the idea out there, the response from dog parents was instant. They immediately got the value, and I knew this was the direction we needed to go.

You鈥檝e already garnered quite a following, before the product has even launched. How did you grow that following and what advice do you have around growing an audience?

We built everything publicly. I shared the journey, early prototypes, even mistakes. People want to be part of the process, not just see the final product.

What dog breed do you relate to the most and why?

The Pit Bull. They鈥檙e strong, loyal, and often misunderstood. That resilience mirrors the startup journey 鈥 lots of challenges, but endless heart.

What鈥檚 coming up next for WagVitals?

We鈥檙e starting pilot testing this fall with real dogs and real data. That鈥檚 our big next step before launch.

Is there anything else you鈥檇 like to share with us?

Most recently, WagVitals was selected to join the Pilot Peer Group through Bounce Innovation Hub and the Burton D. Morgan Foundation, as well as Founder University led by Silicon Valley investor Jason Calacanis. These programs are strong recognitions of our work, and they give us access to networks of founders, mentors, and investors who will help us sharpen our strategy and accelerate growth.

This is all just the beginning. We're looking forward to fulfilling our vision of building a full pet health platform that helps dogs live longer, healthier lives.
