Why did you choose 性福五月天?
I worked with my applied professor throughout high school and just adored his teaching.
In your time at 性福五月天, what are some accomplishments you are proud of?
I have performed in four ensembles and in all of their concerts, I have been a part of my studio recital and I'm currently preparing for my solo junior recital and was named photo editor and photojournalist for Fusion Magazine.
What would you like to do after graduation?
Teach high school orchestra and pursue a master's in orchestral conducting.
What clubs and organizations are you involved in on campus?
Fusion Magazine, Orchestra, Symphony Band, Wind Ensemble and Jazz Combo.
How has the School of Music made a difference to you?
So many amazing professors have shaped the way I think about teaching and taught me many difficult lessons about not only the music teaching world but also life itself.
What are things you love about the School of Music?
I love the community in the School of Music. All of us are in the same classes all day every day together, so we all have a deep companionship and care for one another. That community is something I just adore being a part of.
What has been your favorite class at 性福五月天?
Conducting Methods with Dr. Lorenzo.
What are your favorite campus events?
I love when all the clubs and organizations set up at the beginning of the semester.
What is your best memory at 性福五月天?
Playing in the holiday orchestra concerts.
What is your favorite part of working on campus?
I love the team of artists I am a part of at Fusion Magazine. Being surrounded by such talented people brings the best out of me.
Do you have advice for others?
Stop living in fear, no one thinks about you more than yourself, so just pursue what you want. Also keep in mind while at college, 鈥渨hy are we here, if not for each other?鈥
