Video: Center for the Visual Arts Opens with Grand Celebration

The School of Art's newly completed Center for the Visual Arts celebrated its grand opening on May 6. A large crowd filled the building lobby for the opening ceremony, which was followed by tours, live music, student exhibitions and a keynote lecture by visiting artist Mel Chin. 性福五月天 University鈥檚 School of Art and the 性福五月天 University Museum recently partnered to bring the world of luxury design directly to students in the jewelry/metals/enameling (JME) program. As part of the museum鈥檚 鈥淪parkle鈥 exhibition, students explored the artistry and heritage of the renowned American jewelry house David Webb through a special lecture and hands-on design assignment.

The School of Art Collection and Galleries is pleased to announce "Metamorphosis," a permanent sculptural installation created by Violet Maimbourg, a Master of Fine Arts graduate student at 性福五月天 University. The work was created for the Healing Garden at the University Hospital Portage Medical Center, offering visitors a space for reflection and peace.
